This page is all about courses and services that are run regularly. For instance we deliver a Jobs club, Computer club, councillors surgery, Coventry Independent Advice Service, A Road To Me Project and give welfare advice. For information on where HCCA and the Holbrooks Community Centre are please look at our contact page. For anymore information on any of the services please be sure to contact us so we can provide clarification or more information. Any one is welcome to come to the centre and use these services  and they are accessible by everyone as the whole centre has disabled access.

Coventry Independent Advice Servicecoviac-logo

Coventry Independent Advice Service is a registered charity offering welfare, benefit and debt advice, information and support to all Coventry residents. if you wish to use this service please bring any relevant paperwork associated with your problems like bills and letters.The service is free and completely confidential.

The service is held at Holbrooks Community Care Association, it is a drop in service so no appointments are needed on Tuesday 9:00am-11:30am and Wednesday 5:00pm-7:00pm just come to the centre.

The jobs club at HCCA has been an integral part of the centre for some years now and is one of the most frequently used services. The jobs club has the ability to help any person; in online job searches, completing online applications, producing covering letters and CVs, preparing for interviews and overall finding the right job that best suites you. Of which all of these services are free to the unemployed and people who are registered with the jobs club.

Jobs club is run every Thursday from 12:30pm-3:00pm  at HCCA, with IT access available.

Computer club is a relaxing social way to learn key computer skills for beginners  or the more advanced computer users. It offers  a friendly environment in which to learn the basics of  computer systems including how to send emails, surf the net and how to use the computer to stay in touch with family and friends. The computer club is a very welcoming group with the people creating friendships and having events like the annual Christmas lunch. The computer club is supported with dedicated experienced staff who will guide you through any difficulties you may have with computers. The club will help you gain confidence and show you the opportunities of being online. this service is provided at only £2.00 per session.

Computer club runs at HCCA Tuesday and Thursday  morning from 9:30am to 12:00pm.

Councillors surgery

Councillor Joseph Clifford for Holbrooks ward  holds his surgery at HCCA and he is available to talk to about issues around any council provided service and Advocate on your behalf with all conversations being confidential. If councillor Joe Clifford is unable to attend, his surgery will be covered by the other councillors for Holbrooks  Rachel Lancaster And Ann Lucas. Road To Me Projectfamily-tree-clip-art

The Road to me project is a service delivered at HCCA that helps you trace your ancestry and build a family tree. This project is aimed to help you find out about your old relatives and members of the family but also helps to create a rich tapestry of Coventry’s history and its inhabitants . The project aims to create a board boasting the family trees from the local community, as to get a knowledge of Holbrooks history and the mixture of cultures within the community. this project is growing and has hopes for more family trees to help fill in the holes of the display.
