Holbrooks Community Association is a registered charity which began after WW2 with a donation from the British War Relief Societies of America as a thank you for the kindness shown to the troops stationed in Holbrooks. It is managed by a group of residents whose aims are to provide opportunities for local people to participate in community life. Its objectives for the past 70 years are to reduce social isolation, improve health and well-being, increase aspirations of young people, to improve educational attainment, increase participation in social and leisure activities, and to provide learning opportunities for adults and children. To help aid the community the Holbrooks Community Centre became HCCAs sister organisation and have helped the community centre for the past 30 years.
The Community Centre boasts two rooms, it has a large main room which can be split in two and a smaller backroom, both rooms have access to a sink area and small kitchen. the rooms are used for many different purposes from a Whist Club in the evenings to a Amateur Wrestling group in the day. The community centre has many activities and is accessed by the whole community from young toddler to people in wheelchairs as it has disabled access, for a better look at the clubs please click the timetable link below.
The Community Centre rooms can also be hired out for a one off event or weekly. if you wish to hire any of the rooms or want to know more about the clubs held please get in touch for more information on 02476 665621 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org . you are also welcome to visit the centre which will have leaflets on any the clubs, the centre is at John Shelton Drive, Holbrooks, Coventry CV6 4PG.
Currently available at your centre: Coventry North Taekwondo, Cats Dance Academy, Phoenix Wrestling, Emanuel S.D.A, Rehoboth Revival Ministries, Church of Christ, ESOL Classes (Adult Education), Well baby Clinic and Splatter Kids.
