Volunteering

HCCA offers a wide variety of volunteering opportunities as it will allow you to take part in worthwhile and valued work experience within your own community. The centre provides a warm and supportive working environment allowing you to fully develop new skills and abilities that could then also help your employability.

There are new exciting voluntary roles at the centre with Holbrooks library now sharing the building . This presents new opportunities allowing volunteers to be involved with weekly clubs within the library. These new roles offer a more customer based relationship with clients allowing volunteers the ability to gain new skills and meet new people.

HCCA is also looking for committed volunteers who could help the centre  with administration, local events and fundraisers, marketing and publicity, gardening and library support. The centre is happy to dedicate support to people developing the skills required for these jobs. the centre would do this by teaching the person the technology and system involved in the job, but also by paying for any travelling expenses to and from the centre.

As HCCA is a registered charity any voluntary work done by people in the community is much appreciated and all help is welcomed. If you are interested in volunteering with us please contact Julie-Anne on 02476 638681 or email at hcca@btconnect.com
